My journey started in 1972, when my family lived near a place called Dirty Creek. My family owned many acres of land with all kinds of wildlife on it. I've always enjoyed being in the woods and hunting.I killed my first deer in 1972, but my mom wouldn’t let me have it mounted. She said it was too expensive. So I got a correspondence course out of Outdoor Life magazine. The first thing I ever worked with was a blackbird. Then after that i was hooked, and worked hard to finally get to where I'm at today. This year I achieved my goal and that was to win a first place ribbon in the World Taxidermy Competition. Many people have helped me out over the years to get me where I'm at today. The list includes Jim Pitts, Joe Coombs, my dad Julius Loosen, and many other taxidermists and suppliers.
I would like to thank everyone for looking.
